E-Procurement - Marketplace Participation
Lynx started work on sell side e-procurement in 2000 with predominantly public sector organisations. The company was involved in "pathfinder" projects and various e-procurement steering groups. Our specialty was in supplier adoption. These projects resulted in catalogue and punch out / roundtrip methods of marketplace participation being built in to the Evolve ecommerce software. These developments were paid for by the buying organisations and were provided to the suppliers at a relatively low cost. The offer for individual suppliers is as follows: -
Via the Catalogue Method
Automated exports of files specific to your customer can be configured according to the procurement mandates: -
- Automated FTP of XML or CSV files
- Cleaning and normalising product data services for MRO (specifically IT and Office products) are offered
- Linked datasheets with provision of product specifications
- Acceptance of draft and approved orders via the web store
- Handshakes at every stage and full audit trails as well as "scavenger" services in event of failure ensure reliability
Via Punch out / Rountrip
Punch out support is no longer built in to the standard Evolve software. The major marketplaces worked with include Ariba, Oracle LloydsTSB and SAP, although methods are similar for other specific marketplaces. Lynx offer this service as part of larger projects and are in favour of offering a holistic solution to your needs that includes Evolve XO - which builds workflow and approval processes in to your online store itself for customers who need purchase approval processes and expense management but do not have an e-procurement system.
