Case Studies - Atos Origin - Calyon - The home office

In 2005 Lynx developed the precursor to this new model

Background:
Atos provide the IT service desk to the Home Office and had been looking for an online solution for their client but were struggling to find a solution that didn’t require development from scratch.  They then came to Lynx in 2005 - The solution was to allow all the employees in the IND division to place orders for their IT needs on an online store, and to have an approval workflow in place with full reporting, allowing fulfilment of requests by the IT Service Desk.

Previously users would call or email the service desk to place orders and this made the workflow process inefficient.

The Lynx Solution:

  • Use Evolve as the e-commerce platform to allow for standard and non standard requests
  • Build in approvers with approval levels and approval business rules
  • Incorporate approval process into full workflow
  • Sends out emails to relevant parties at all stages of process
  • Allow suppliers own back end logins to manage their own products and prices
  • Full reporting suite for all interested parties to track requests and workflows.

Results:
The Home Office project was successfully delivered in 2005 with several thousand users Atos have since commissioned Lynx to deliver a similar system to Calyon – (Credit Lyonais / Credit Agricole).
